The Avengers Tie-In Comic Coming Soon!

We’re still a good five months away from The Avengers, but we’ll be meeting our favorite superheros already in March.

Marvel Comics recently announced that they will be releasing a four-issue prequel comic entitled “Marvel’s The Avengers Prelude“, starting in March. The full solicitation for issues #1 and #2 reads:

Marvel Studios presents in association with Paramount Pictures Marvel’s The Avengers – the super hero team up of a lifetime, featuring iconic Marvel super heroes Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When an unexpected enemy emerges that threatens global safety and security, Nick Fury, Director of the international peacekeeping agency known as S.H.I.E.L.D., finds himself in need of a team to pull the world back from the brink of disaster. Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins.

There is very little else known about the comic as of now, except that it’s going to be taking place before the events of the movie and feature the same characters. We’ll keep you updated as we learn more.
