The first batch of comics in 2012 was a good one! From promising new titles to older ones realizing their full potential, there was plenty to laugh out, and even more to get creeped out by. Here are the panels of the week!
10. Super Dinosaur #7
This is my new favorite reaction panel.
9. Uncanny X-Force #19.1
No more event comics! I kid, kid.
8. Action Comics #5
I’m a big Krypto fan, and it’s great getting to see him protecting his whole family.
7. Penguin: Pain and Prejudice #4
This is probably truer of Penguin than anyone else in Batman’s rogues gallery. He doesn’t belong in Arkham. He didn’t fall into a vat of radioactive wolverines. He’d be a standard mob criminal were it not for the face he was born with. This has been a great mini thus far and I continue to recommend it.
6. Wolverine and the X-Men: Alpha and Omega #1
This panel is a lot funnier if you’re like me and assign voices to all the characters in comics. My Wolverine is voiced by Patrick Warburton. Sorry, Hugh Jackman.
5. Fatale #1
Now I want to watch North by Northwest.
4. Stormwatch #5
Erika Eiffel has nothing on the Stormwatch crew.
3. O.M.A.C. #5
O.M.A.C. has the best editor’s notes I have ever seen.
2. Animal Man #5
Comics don’t get much creepier than this month’s issue of Animal Man.
1. X-Club #2
So great was this panel that it was suggested to me by multiple people before the week was through. A single panel getting that much love easily makes it our panel of the week.
