Once again, it’s Wednesday, which means it’s time to count down the best of last week’s panels! From fantasy improv to a technologically impaired Batman, this comics of this week found plenty of ways to stun, scare, and entertain. Here are the 10 best panels of the week.
10. Nightwing #5
It’s always cool to see what things look like from the other side of the domino mask. I really like the colors here.
9. Generation Hope #15
A little something for all the Phoenix fanboys out there. You know who you are.
8. Fables #113
Magical improv with talking animals is something the comic world needs more of.
7. Uncanny X-Men #5
I want to read a comic where the X-Men do nothing but communicate in poorly typed, all-caps emails.
6. Wonder Woman #5
Wonder Woman keeps on getting better and better. Diana really feels like the demigod that she is.
5. Chew #23
The computer screen was the first thing to make me laugh out loud this week.
4. Batman Odyssey #4
Batman Odyssey continues to make no sense and I love every second of it. It was truly hard to pick just one delightfully nonsensical panel from this issue.
3. Tiny Titans #48
This was pretty much the inside of my mind when I was 5.
2. Batman #5
One of the most jawdropping moments in a truly amazing comic. Scott Snyder wasn’t kidding when he talked about Bruce being betrayed by Gotham.
1. Daredevil #8
Kudos to Mark Waid for making me remember why I like Spider-Man/Daredevil team ups so much. They had a lot of great moments together in this issue, but this was the best of the bunch, and my number one panel of the week.
