Panels of the Week – Week of 11/30/11

DC’s releases were unusually light this week, which made coming up with 10 great panels a little trickier than usual. But thanks to books like Daredevil, Reed Gunther, and Green Wake, finding panels that make me smile, make me laugh, or just look awesome isn’t all that hard.

Without further ado, here are the 10 best comic book panels from the past week:

10. Uncanny X-Men #2

Uncanny X-Men #2

Try saying that 10 times fast.

If you can successfully call someone out with a tongue twister, you’re pretty much a BAMF.

9. Green Wake #7

Green Wake #7

When you see it...

I love panels in which the creepy parts aren’t obvious. The new color scheme suits Green Wake wonderfully.

8. Batman Odyssey #2

Batman Odyssey #2

Yippie-ki-ay!

Batman, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour, you’re going to see some serious shit.

7. Ultimates #4

Ultimates #4

I can't make fun of this!

I’m a sucker for heroes fighting battles they know they can’t win.

6. Fables #111

Fables #111

Kudos to any comic that has me giggling over methods of execution.

“You know that guy who got decapitated this week? Originally was going to be fed to a sarlacc. I’m awesome.”

5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #4

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Vol 5 #4

I'll always nostalgia over the turtles.

I was maybe 5 when I first learned of the Turtles. They’re still teenaged. I am not.

4. T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents #1

T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents #1

You know just how to stop a conversation, Colleen.

That panel alone made the return of T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents worth waiting for.

3. FF #12

FF #12

Don't mind me, just building a lightsaber.

There are worse reasons to build a lightsaber.

2. Reed Gunther #5

Reed Gunther#5

Sage words from a sage cowboy.

Words to live by.

1. Daredevil #6

Daredevil #6

Stop being so awesome, Daredevil. You're making the other comics look bad.

Matt Murdock has the worst kept secret identity in comics, and I love it.
