This week was full of great comics, both new and old. Sometimes it’s hard to condense what makes a comic terrific into a panel, but every week, we manage to scrape up more than enough panels to share. Here are the top 10 panels of the week:
10. Frankenstein: Agent of Shade #5
Frankenstein is more suave then I’ll ever be. I’m okay with that.
9. Magneto: Not A Hero #3
Sometimes I want to laugh. Sometimes I want to be scared. Sometimes I just want to ooh and aah over some pretty art.
8. Green Lantern #5
This is one of those things I never knew I wanted to see until I saw it.
7. Wolverine and the X-Men #4
This comic is teaching me more about Wolverine than I ever wanted to know.
6. The Shade #4
When a comic is as perfect as this one, it’s hard to pick a single panel. Cooke‘s visual storytelling here is fantastic.
5. Secret Avengers #21
I can assure you that comic characters have consumed grosser things.
4. X-Factor #230
Still looking like Jakita Wagner, Monet.
3. Whisper #1
I have my moments like this. All the time.
2. Amazing Spider-Man #677
Mark Waid and Daredevil are two things that will get me to read any comic.
1. Batwoman #5
Every time I look at this, I keep thinking that the colors or changing, or that the panel is literally moving. J.H. Williams III is an incredible talent, and I’m so glad to have his art on Batwoman.
