Marvel has just announced a slight change in their movie schedule for the next coming years. Here’s all we know about the upcoming movies of the next three years:
- May 4, 2012: The Avengers
- May 3, 2013: Iron Man 3
- November 15, 2013: Thor 2
- April 4, 2014: Untitled Marvel Movie #1
- May 16, 2014: Untitled Marvel Movie #2
Now, it’s very probable that one of these two Marvel movies will turn out to be Captain America 2, but that still leaves one movie as a mystery title, and it’s worth speculating as to what that movie might be.
The big money is, of course, on the possibility that this is going to be Ant-Man or Doctor Strange, two of the most popular franchises up for discussion in the Marvel Cinemaverse. The IMDb pages for both have them listed for 2014 and 2013, respectively, so there is definitely some question as to what’s going on. Some people are also talking about Runaways as a possibility, but I think the other two are more probable at the moment.
Either way, we’ll just have to wait and see. Whatever Marvel decides to do, I’m all for it.
