The Avengers is still about a year off, but Marvel is definitely starting the advertising campaign early with a couple of official production and the cover image of the latest Entertainment Weekly.
First off, I’ve got to say that … Well; I’m not impressed. The lighting is uneven, making it so obvious that it’s a shoddy Photoshop job. Robert Downey Jr. looks constipated, Chris Hemsworth has something weird going on with his eyes, which look way too bright to be natural. And what’s going on with Mark Ruffalo? Is he giving us his best impression of the Blue Steel look?
Well; the X-Men: First Class covers were notoriously horrible, but that still managed to give us the best superhero movie of the year; so I’m still optimistic about this one.
Just make sure we get something better when the more official banners start showing up, all right?
Here are three more pictures, taken from the production of the movie. While they’re nothing special compared to many of the pictures we’ve seen unofficially, it’s fun to see that they’re finally releasing something slightly more official.
